Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to be a professional coach or have any coaching experience to be certified by ACI?
No! Anyone can go through our program and become an ACI Certified Confidence Coach! We do have many people go through the program who want to become professional coaches or already have some coaching experience (credentialed and not). However, we have just as many people come through it who just want to be better managers, parents, teachers, friends or other everyday human roles!
How long does the certification process take?
Students typically take 4–5 hours to get through the entire eclass including doing all the exercises and worksheets. Once that is completed, you will be invited to take the 10-minute exam and can do it anytime thereafter. Upon passing the exam, you will get a link to upcoming ACI Practica and can sign up for any one of our quarterly 3-hour Zoom meetings. Therefore in total, the Certification will take you between 8–10 hours and there are no deadlines to complete the program!
Are there any recertification or continuing education requirements?
None at all. Once you are ACI Certified, you're good to go forever! We do offer other resources for our coaches including a private LinkedIn group, plus occasional confidence coaching discussions and education sessions.
Will this coaching method conflict or replace others that I have or am interested in using?
Absolutely not! We designed the ACI Coaching Certification including our Toolkit, Roadmap and Playbook to complement all of the popular coaching modalities. We want this to be a value-added set of tools and knowledge that should enhance, not interfere with the way you prefer to coach!
